Vitame Vas Do Praha!
Welcome to Prague

Every first Saturday in May, the citizens of Prague welcome people from around the world to join them in celebrating the rich Czech culture that played a vital role in the city's founding. The Kolache Festival offers dance, song, food, crafts, a parade, carnival rides, and royalty. The festival symbolizes the warmth and fellowship of the Bohemian people. We are proud of the heritage we celebrate and invite you to this wonderful celebration.

Visit our local businesses, eat your fill of Kolaches - our famous Czech dessert, a sweet roll with fruit center - and Klobasneks, and get to know our town and townspeople. Check out the Entertainment Grandstand located on Main Street at the City Park. There will be Czech music playing there all afternoon by the band Czech & Then Some from Ennis, Texas. The Arts & Crafts Show located in the parking lot along Main Street behind BancFirst. The exciting carnival, the food booths, and the parade. Make sure you stay for the Concerts and Street Dancing starting at 7:00 pm. You won't want to miss the Chicken Dance - always a highlight of the evening.
