St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church Czech Heritage Celebration
Held annually the Sunday before the Kolache Festival St. Wenceslaus
Catholic Church welcomes everyone to their Annual Czech Heritage
Celebration on Sunday, April 27, 2008.
On this Sunday the parishioners commemorate their Czech heritage
by joining together in prayer at the 11:00 am Mass. The Mass
will feature Czech music sun in both Czech and English.
Special guests will be the reigning Kolache Festival Royalty
and this year's royalty candidates.
Following the Mass, a Czech dinner will be served at 12:00
noon at the church pilgram hall.. Tickets are available at
the door, $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and under.
This year's menu includes: pork butt roast (veprove maso),
noodels (nudle), klobase and sauerkraut (ceske zeli), dilled
carrots, peas and barley (hrach a kroupy), Czech coleslaw
(zelny salat), rye bread (zitney chleba), and poppy seed cake
(makovy dort).
Everyone is invited to attend the celebration and to wear
their Czech costumes. This is a total community event.
