Wanda Clark

Wanda Jean Clark is the 8-year-old daughter of Robert and Tonya Clark. She has a 4-year-old sister, Leslie, an older sister, Nikki, and an older brother Chris. She is the granddaughter of Gene and Virginia Smith, of Prague, Lonnie and Nancy Polander, of Chandler, and Don and Wanda Clark, deceased. Wanda is a third grader at Prague Elementary. Her teacher is Mrs. Bridges. She has been active in Czech dance for 3 years, softball for 2 years, cheerleading for 1 year, and Gifted and Talented for 1 year. Wanda is very active at the United Methodist Church where she enjoys singing. Wanda also enjoys reading, helping her mother cook, playing with her friends and her border collie, Missy. Wanda's favorite Kolache is cream cheese. Wanda's future plans are to go to college and become a veterinarian or a teacher. She would like to thank her parents for their support. Wanda would also like to thank Pam Zimmerman for making her beautiful costume. Wanda would like to wish all the contestants good luck.

Alex Jewell Dickson is the 9-˝ year old daughter of Kerry and Tracey Dickson. She has a twin brother, Morgan. Her grandparents are Milton and Jo Ann Dickson of Shawnee, Oran and Kathy Carpenter of Okemah, and Dale and JO Lynn Wilson of Seiling. Alex is in the fourth grade. Her favorite subjects are math and science. Since she has really enjoyed learning about the human body in science this year, Alex is considering becoming a surgeon when she grows up. Alex enjoys basketball, softball and likes to cheer. She is a member of First Baptist Church in Prague, where she is active in A.W.A.N.A. She also loves to write short stories and draw her own illustrations. Alex has enjoyed watching the Kolache Festival activities each year since she moved here five years ago and looks forward to being a part of the excitement this year as a Princess candidate. Alex Dickson



Julia James

Julia Annette James is the nine-year-old daughter of Curtis and Barbara James of Prague. Julie has two wonderful brothers Joshua and Riley. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Sue Green of Shawnee, Jerry Rowe of Seminole, Shirlene Burnette of Drumwright and Lou Rowe of Tecumseh. Julia is in Mrs. Friend's fourth grade class at Prague and enjoys all her subjects, reading being her favorite. Julie is a member of Johnson Church of God in Shawnee and also attends Immanuel Fellowship of Seminole. Julia enjoys watching the food network and wants to be a chef when she grows up. She would also like to become a doctor. She enjoys working with her three horses, Freckles, Lady, and Nibbles. Julie loves to dance, sing, play with her friends and cousins, and talk on the phone. She would like to grow up and be just like her Aunt Kristie. Julie is very excited to represent Prague this year as a princess candidate. She wishes all the contestants good luck.

Mary is the 9-year-old daughter of Mike and Sandra Moore. She is in the 4th grade and enjoys playing outside with all her friends. She is a fun loving little girl and is doted on by all her brothers and sisters. Mary is the youngest of a family of seven children and is affectionately known as "Mare-Mare" in the family. She attends St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and is an altar server at mass. Mary is a direct descendant of early Czechoslovakian families (Adamcik and Jezek) that homesteaded in the Prague area when the land was opened up to settlement in the late 1800's. Mary is involved in promoting her Czechoslovakian heritage that her grandparents were instrumental in, back when the first Kolache festival was organized. She helps her Daddy make the Czech, smoked sausage "Klobase" that has been made by her family for generations as well as helping her mother make kolaches before the festival each year. Her favorite Kolache is the apricot and her birthday is May 3rd…Kolache Festival Day!

Mary Moore



Laura Newport

Laura is the 10-year-old daughter of Paul and Ruth Newport and the granddaughter of Mary Bailey and the late Albert Bailey & Lucy Newport and the late Edward Newport. She has two sisters, Mary Newport and Denise Cindle and brother-in-law Scott Cindle and two nieces Bailey and Brittany. Laura is a 5th grader at Prague School. She has been a Prague Little League Cheerleader for 3 years, taken dance for 4 years and plays softball and basketball. She has danced with the Prague Czech Dancers for 3 years and has competed in the Czech costume judging for many years. She also helps bake kolaches at the Catholic Church each year. She likes four-wheeling, swimming, singing, listening to music and hanging out with her best friend Sam, especially at camp every summer. Laura would like to thank Bruce Koker Attorney at Law for sponsoring her. Laura is grateful to be running for princess with all of her friends and hopes everyone has a great time at the Kolache Festival.

Samantha is the 10 year-old daughter of Josh and Carrie Pratka. She has a 12 year-old brother, J.C. She is the great granddaughter of Charlene Cox, and the late Johnny Pratka of Prague. She is the granddaughter of Jerry and Jenny Pratka, Yvonne and Tom Winchester, and David and Brenda Clark. Samantha is proud to be 1/8 Czech on her father's side and is the 5th generation of her family to live in Prague. Samantha is in the 5th grade at Prague Schools. She enjoys basketball, softball and cheerleading. She has danced 3 years with the Czech Dancers and has danced Beseda 1 year. Samantha attends St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church where she bakes kolaches every year to go to church camp. Her favorite Kolache is cherry. Samantha's future plans are to attend college and become a Dental Hygienist. She would like to send a special thanks to her Mem-Ma Yvonne for making her costume and her Mom and Aunt for helping design it.
