Something new is planned for this years Kolache Festival. Instead of having costume judging, there will be a Kroj Parade. The parade will be for anyone wearing a Czech kroj (costume) at any age – babies, girls, boys, men and women. To make ti more all-inclusive, the kroj can be simple or fancy, new or old, Americanized or authentic. We will have the parade at the grandstand and start with the littles ones at the front of the line, circling ni front of the crowd and ending with everyone in a line in the middle of the street for photo opportunities. You will receive a collectable button to wear showing that you were wearing a kroj and in the parade. Babies or toddlers can ride in strollers or wagons and you are welcome to decorate them. Time of the Kroj Parade will beannounced when the schedule has been confirmed. We want everyone at the Festival to see how proud we are of our towns Czech heritage. You’ll be amazed how many people stop you to look at your kroj and want to take pictures with you. So dig out the costumes you haven’t worn in years and join us for the Kroj Parade, because as this year’s theme says, Prague Kolache Festival – Where Everyone Is Czech For A Day!
